I quite enjoyed writing my review of Head Rambles blog last week, so I thought I might do another feature on a blog I love this week.

Sew Liberated is the blog of Meg, sewing enthusiast, Montessori teacher, and mama to two small boys. In her blog, she lets her passions in life shine through, writing eloquently about the things that interest her, and illustrating her posts with beautifully composed, inspiring photography.

Now sewing isn’t my strong suit – not clothes anyway – and my cross-stitching hobby from the years before Little Man was born hasn’t really been top of my to-do list since his arrival.

But Meg’s blog is about so much more than sewing. In the past few months, through her writing, she has shared the story of her family – her adventurous little man, Finn, and her new baby Lachlan. Lachlan was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a diagnosis Meg and her husband learned about while she was pregnant.

Through her blog, Meg shared her fears and her hopes for Lachlan and on the week of his birth, I, together with many other readers, sent prayers their way for a safe delivery and a successful first operation for little Lachlan.

In all of her posts, Meg’s personal sense of optimism comes through, even in the face of such heartache. Her blog is an inspiration – for her sense of style, for her reminders to take the time to appreciate the simple things, and for her beautiful wonderful family.

Here are some recent favourite posts of mine to get you started:
